We are recruiting caring, reliable and compassionate Healthcare Assistants for temporary and ongoing assignments across Suffolk.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support individuals with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing. Assignments may be available within residential homes, nursing homes, supported living services and other health and social care settings.
The Role
You will work alongside permanent care teams to provide safe, respectful and person-centred support. Duties will vary depending on the service and the needs of the individuals you are supporting.
You may be required to assist with personal care, mobility, meals, daily routines and emotional wellbeing while following individual care plans and workplace procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals with personal care and daily routines
- Assisting with washing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Supporting with meals, hydration and nutrition
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence, choice and participation
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
- Completing accurate care notes and handovers
- Maintaining dignity, privacy and professional boundaries
- Following safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures
- Working closely with permanent staff and other care professionals
About You

Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker is preferred.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred but not essential, depending on the location and requirements of each assignment.
Shift Availability
Assignments may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Waking night shifts
- Bank holiday shifts
- Short-notice cover
- Ongoing placements
Shift availability will depend on current service requirements and assignment locations.
Registration Requirements
Before starting assignments, candidates will need to complete the agency registration and compliance process. This may include:
- An enhanced DBS check
- Satisfactory professional references
- Proof of identity and right to work in the UK
- Relevant employment history and training
- Any additional checks required for the assignment
