About the Role:
Bolton Council are looking for a qualified Social Worker to join their dedicated Safeguarding Team.
Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop professional skills in working with children and young people to understand their journey, day-to-day life, and promote their voice through direct work and recording.
- Complete assessments of children and families, using the Assessment Framework, tools, theory, and research to guide practice, while managing risk effectively.
- Create SMART plans and develop intervention strategies with parents and carers to promote positive outcomes.
- Work directly with service users, applying a range of social work knowledge, skills, methods, and techniques.
- Assess, evaluate, and review programs of work with service users, coordinating and organizing services both within and outside the Department.
- Work with Legal Services and the Courts, producing reports within agreed timescales.
- Contribute to the planning and development of the Team’s and Department’s services to children and families as required.
- Provide professional knowledge, ideas, advice, and evaluation to support the Department’s planning and development activities, and contribute to policies and standards.
- Maintain accurate case recordings in line with GDPR, Liquid Logic system, and administration requirements.
- Attend reviews, case conferences, child action meetings, and court-related meetings, presenting summaries and providing appropriate advice, information, and support.
- Complete visits to children and families according to Departmental policies and procedures, ensuring records are kept promptly.
- Plan, implement, and review care plans for children looked after to ensure permanence plans are in place.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Registered with Social Work England
- Eligible to work in the UK
