About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated Children with Disabilities Team at Hertfordshire County Council.
Contracted Hours – 37 hours per week (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities:

- Communication: Communicate effectively and sensitively, producing clear oral and written assessments
- Teamwork: Cooperate with colleagues, sharing information and seeking assistance as appropriate
- Professional Development: Demonstrate willingness to learn from others and from experience, engaging in continuous professional development
- Receive and investigate referrals of children with disabilities and complete assessments
- Assess the safety and risk to children and act accordingly, which may include developing safety plans
- Complete paperwork for resource allocation panels
- Work with various agencies and professionals, including law enforcement, schools, mental health providers, and legal entities
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all work performed
- Produce clear, accurate, and concise assessments, records, and reports to facilitate decision-making within social work and multidisciplinary teams
- Offer practical suggestions and advice on long-term implications of alternative courses of action
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Registered with Social Work England
- Minimum of 3 years PQE
- Strong assessment skills & Court Experience
- Eligible to work in the UK
