About the Role:
A Mental Health Hospital Discharge Senior Social Worker is expected to have statutory experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental disorders who are in hospital and in the process of being discharged. Social Workers In addition to the typical activities of a NQSW Social Workers will; Manage a wider, increasingly complex social work caseload including safeguarding adults, with more autonomy.
 Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating expertise in one or more areas of social work practice
- Using a range of frameworks for assessment and intervention
- Providing support for trainees and other employees, including acting as a ‘buddy’ for inductees
- Taking responsibility for obtaining regular, effective supervision from appropriate Social Worker to ensure effective practice, critical reflection and career development
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding and use of knowledge related to area of practice, including critical awareness of current issues and new evidence-based practice research
 Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working within the Mental Health Team
- Eligible to work in the UK
