About the Role:
North Lincolnshire Council are seeking a qualified Senior Social Worker to join their dedicated Adults Team.
They will develop a range of social work services for adults and their carers across North Lincolnshire.
Contracted Hours – 37 hours per week (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and guidance to staff daily, managing workload and deployment of the social work team, including allocating and monitoring assessments and commissioning person-centred support.
- Provide professional supervision, supporting individuals within their ASYE and PQ training, and foster a positive culture of reflective practice and social work theory.
- Participate in recruitment and retention of a competent staff team through safer recruitment processes, effective supervision, staff development, and training.
- Support a high-performing culture by conducting quality audits of social work practice and case file audits, providing feedback and advice on best practice, and taking further action as needed.
- Support the Team Manager by monitoring and providing complex management information to ensure required standards are met and maintained.
- Assist with budget reconciliation using IT and lead the team in focusing on outcome-based support solutions.
- Ensure legislative and procedural compliance within the team, promote best practice, and contribute to social work reform.
- Chair reviews and case conferences as appropriate.
- Maintain oversight of complex cases and vulnerable adult issues, including those involving personal liberty and implementation of the Mental Capacity Act and deprivation of liberties safeguards.
- Undertake complex casework with families to explore all community options that promote choice and control.
- Proactively promote and ensure the needs of family carers are met in line with relevant legislation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Registered with Social Work England
- Eligible to work in the UK
