About the Role:
This role is within the Duty service, the role is to support the team manager in operational management of a duty team and responses to safeguarding children and those children in need. The Duty team receive referrals from the MASH and undertake the children and family assessments, identifying levels of need and support plans for children and families.
 Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the manager in managing performance
- Mentoring and supporting staff
- Managing complex casework
- Chairing and facilitating meetings including some strategy meetings
 Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker
- At least 3 years experience in managing child protection enquiries, chairing and facilitating meetings for children’s care plans, strategy meetings, CWLA and court knowledge
- Registered with Social Work England
- Eligible to work in the UK
