About the Role:
Stoke on Trent City Council are looking for a Occupational Therapy Team Manager to join the team.
Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote positive approaches to diversity and identity, offering guidance and challenge when needed.
- Model and advocate for the occupational therapy role within and beyond the organisation.
- Apply and encourage critical reflection in management, supervision, and practice settings.
- Recognise and address professional limitations, knowledge gaps, and conflicts of interest.
- Confidently apply and promote professional ethics using legal and human rights frameworks.
- Support best practice in the appropriate use of power and authority; challenge misuse.
- Seek or provide expert occupational therapy/legal advice in complex, rights-based cases.
- Uphold and model professional occupational therapy standards across your responsibilities.
- Create and support a learning-focused environment that encourages professional development.
- Demonstrate understanding of models and interventions in occupational therapy/social care.
- Deputise for the Strategic Manager and provide cover for Team Manager colleagues as needed.
- Maintain compliance with professional regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Recognised Occupational Therapy Qualification
- Registered with HCPC
- Eligible to work in the UK
